My Favourite Vegan Lipsticks
In a world where we are striving to be environmentally and ethnically conscious for the first time and a particularly on a global scale, we are asking ourselves what we can do to make a difference to the world around us. We’re making decisions not only for ourselves but for our planet and community. Obviously, this doesn’t discount that perhaps not every in the same socio or economic position to do this, but we are slowly moving forward to a more accessible sustainable world for all of us.
Across industries we see organisations, companies, communities and individuals creating environmentally sound products for us to use and this often is in line with cruelty-free and vegan ethics. Beauty companies especially are listening to the demand of the many to meet these ethics and requirements and we are finding ourselves with options that are not only still glamorous but ethical. Now I wouldn’t label myself a vegan but I do like to think I am making deliberate steps to being ethically conscious and so alongside my new vegan morphe brushes, I am also trying to find vegan make up products that not only slay a full look but help me feel that I’m doing my part. So here are a few of my favourite vegan lipsticks.

LIME CRIME – Now they’re not necessarily a vegan brand, but I’m impressed to see them taking steps to be cruelty-free and vegan and that includes the new Perless series which is a whole bunch of cute metallics which I think would be perfect for some extra glittery festive looks.
URBAN DECAY – Another company that isn’t necessarily a vegan brand but taking steps to become more ethically conscious and to make it easier for you to find them, vegan products are listed specifically on the website. Their vegan lipsticks are the Sheer Revolution and have 12 shades that are so vampy you will be grabbing your faux fur ready to trap someone’s billionaire uncle.
E.L.F. – ELF is currently slaying the matte vegan lipsticks game in the cutest pastel colours. It’s also a moisturising lipstick with a formula that is enriched with Vitamins A, C and E and with winter upon us and drying out every inch of our skin, trust me, your lips will appreciate the help.
TOO FACED – Wait, sorry, what? Yes, you’re having the same reaction. Too Faced offers vegan products too? You had no idea either? Well, we can be happily shook together at this brand that has recently come into the mainstream thanks to recent collabs with beauty bloggers like Jackie Aina. Their Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipstick is as good as any lip stain but with longer wear. Sold.
LUSH – Now obviously LUSH is our body and skin care go to, but guess what? They also have amazing cruelty free and vegan products. Cheers, all around. They offer 13 shades that are all perfect depending on the mood you’re in or the event you have to go to and the plus is that this product is infused with natural jojoba oils, which apparently helps your lips look and stay plump.
NYX – Well, well, well it seems everyone is joining the party and NYX didn’t want to miss out with these range of Butter Lipstick which quite frankly just looks too luscious to not at least try. In 21 glorious shades, I can visualize the multitude of cute swatches.
Now I could spill all the tea or I could spill just a little and have ya’ll coming back for part 2. Let us know how you get on and remember that these could make incredible festive gifts for your vegan or animal loving friends. And it could also be a beautiful way to test the waters as you yourself try and transition into becoming a more ethically conscious consumer.
I am interested to see what shades are available from Lush
