Over recent years I have worked on my social media accounts, to ensure that I only follow accounts I really love. I have been ‘guilty’ of unfollowing people who constantly talk about dieting (#SorryNotSorry) and I also remove anyone who is racist and generally hateful (#DefinitelyNotSorry). This means that I have found some amazing Twitter accounts, that are really fat positive and well worth a follow. Some of them post some amazingly eye-opening stuff and for me, are really important voices that I am keen to hear!

Twitter, She Might Be

Sofie Hagan – Although Sofie’s social media feeds are often about her comedy shows (she’s amazing by the way), she also posts some really important fat positive stuff. You’ll often see her posting photos of her body from different angles (sitting down poses for the win!) and talking about navigating through life as a stand-up comedian, living in a fat body.

Yr Fat Friend – I love this anonymous Twitter account because she keeps it real with everything that she posts. I really love that she isn’t afraid to talk about non plus size people and how she feels they should be acting to make the world a better place for people who are fat.

Artists_Ali  – I came across this account when she started an account “It’s Ok To Be Fat”, which is one I really enjoyed reading. Although she no longer interacts on that account, she does on her main one and still talks about loads of fat issues which I love!

Comfy Fat – This Twitter account has opened up my eyes on many issues. They tweet and write about gender issues as well as living life in a fat body and honestly has been an education to me.

Of course, it goes without saying that the She Might Be Twitter account is well worth a follow. You’ll get to see the latest posts, put together by a range of wonderful women and if you’re not already following you’re seriously missing out!

Do you have any recommendations for accounts I should follow?
