When it comes to plus size brands, we all tend to fall into the same traps. If a brand does above a size 26 we congratulate them and if they do ‘all the way’ up to a size 32 this a is a real celebration. I am guilty of doing this myself but actually, there are many people who need above a size 32 and when it comes to plus size fashion, we need to do more to encourage this!

So, I thought I would take a look at the UK brands that do above a size 32, because fashion doesn’t stop at a size 32! I’m a size 32 myself but from a selfish point of view, I love being able to buy a size or two bigger than my normal for things that I want to wear as oversized.

Yours Clothing

I’m shopped at Yours Clothing for many years and it’s really nice to see that over recent times, their offerings have really expanded. They have some amazing, ‘bang on trend’ pieces and it’s really nice to see. For a while now they have offered many of their pieces in a size 36. Just before Christmas I noticed that they have started to bring out the off piece up to size 40. They haven’t announced this and it does seem to be the odd hit and miss piece, but it’s a start and something I really would love to see more of!

Plus Equals

When it comes to fashion that is a little more out there, I would definitely recommend Plus Equals. Their items are full of sequins and fake fur and literally ooze glam! All of this in items as standard up to a size 42 – and made to measure larger if they are needed!

Interrobang Art

I have a couple of Interrobang Art pieces, including the amazing Robot dress. One of the things I love most about the brand is the different patterns they offer, which often are styles I haven’t seen else where. She does up to a size 36 as standard but can do larger made to measure. Also, you can order made to measure whatever size you are – for example the robot dress I had made in a size 32 bottom part and size 28 top part.

Topsy Curvy

I’ve been a fan of this brand since they launched and I know Jo and Nat are keen to offer larger sizes. They have recently launched an amazing range of slogan t-shirts up to a size 36 – I also have a onesie of theirs in a size 36 and the sizing is great! I am excited for what Topsy Curvy will bring in the future!

Simply Be

Simply Be only advertise that they do up to a size 32, and to be honest their styles massive dwindle if you’re looking for something over a size 26. However, they do have the odd piece in a size 34 so they’re worth having a browse of if you are looking for something stylish and want slightly bigger than the standard 30/32.

Sixteen47

Aimed at a slightly older audience, Sixteen47 is the brainchild of Dawn French. They offer a range of smart trousers, shirts, skirts and flowy tops. They have loads of items in a size 36! Another great option for those looking for something more than a typical size 30/32.

And if you’re craving cozy glamour that actually fits, SpiritHoods offers custom-made faux fur coats in any size, designed with both fierce style and comfort in mind. Their XL luxury bathrobes also fit women over a size 26, proving that warmth, softness, and fabulousness should never stop at a number. Whether you’re looking for an everyday statement piece or a special treat, their size-inclusive designs have you covered (literally).

We all know that plus size fashion needs to change, especially in options above a size 28.

It’s great to see that there are some options for people who do need larger sizes.

Do you have recommendations for any brands I’ve missed?
