Christmas is approaching very quickly, which means my social media feed is filled with all kinds of gorgeous Christmas gifts, so I wanted to showcase the ones made by and/or for plus-size people. I love putting together little gift guides, and I wanted to get back to basics and put something together just for plus-size people – whether you are a plus-size person buying for yourself, or you are somebody shopping for a plus-size person! I’ve put together 10 brands that I really hope you’ll love but feel free to shout out any favourites in the comments!
The Ultimate Plus Size Christmas Guide 2025!
Snag
I’ve known about Snag Tights for years, and have always gone back and forth between Snag Tights and Better Tights (who are another great option to buy from this Christmas!) but the reason I’ve gone with Snag is that I am in love with their Christmas range this year. The design I really wanted to feature is the one with fairy lights on it, which is the absolute best way to get dressed up this Christmas season and so nice to see fun things for plus sizes!
Topsy Curvy
One of the best brands for bringing out plus-size clothing that fat people actually want to wear is Topsy Curvy. With up-to-date pop culture references and the rejection of the idea that fat people just want to wear grey smocks with butterflies on them, Topsy Curvy is a great place to go for a present for your plus-size pals. The sizes are really generous – and the dresses have pockets! I’ve been trying out their latest style of dresses over on my blog, along with Debz and Lucia and they’re a big hit!
Rymermade
It’s not too late to buy your 2022 Christmas cards, as long as you get them from Rymermade! Rymermade has a collection of hand-drawn and quirky greeting cards, badges, and more, that are dripping with pop culture references and bright colours. The owner, Sophie, is a member of the plus size community, and has just recently branched her shop out from Etsy, to its own website with a rewards scheme where you can earn money off – which means a gift for you too, as you can get discounts on your cards all year!
Elena Lucie Design
Another creative pal from the plus size community is Elena Lucie, who turned her lockdown hobby of creating pieces from resin into an Etsy business. This shop has a fantastic variety of resin pieces with a witchy vibe running through it all, which makes for super fun and interesting gifts from this independent business. Not only will you make the recipient smile, but shopping with a small business means making the seller smile too!
Oodie
Everybody loves an Oodie this year – not only are they extremely comfortable and come in a huge range of adorable designs, but we are all looking for ways to stay warm this Winter. Official Oodie brand oversized hoodies can be a little bit pricey, but I think it is worth it for the quality, and there tend to be sales running on the website quite frequently. The best thing about the Oodie is that it actually fits, unlike some cheaper brands. While it is less baggy on those over a size 32, it is still big and slouchy enough to feel like an oversized hoodie, which makes a fantastic Christmas gift for your plus-size pals.
My Poor Purse
The creator of My Poor Purse is not part of the plus-size community, but this slow fashion brand promises to make clothes for all bodies and she did not fall short of this promise. As the name might suggest, My Poor Purse is not a cheap clothing brand – but that’s kind of the point. These pieces are created one at a time, made to measure and will take you a good couple of months to receive once you receive your order. So while you might be a little bit late to have a piece ready to unwrap for Christmas 2022, a voucher (or a picture of a work in progress!) would be a fantastic gift under anybody’s tree.
Katnipp
Catherine – or Katnipp, as her customers and viewers might know her – is a plus size creative who owns Katnipp Studios and also runs a YouTube channel. Her shop primarily sells stationery items, although has branched out into things like plushies and jewellery over the years. Gifts from Katnipp feature adorable designs such as Gingie the gingerbread man, which come from hand-drawn characters that Catherine has dreamed up herself. Not only do these make perfect gifts, but they are super affordable too.
Plus Size Travel
Travel is a life changing experience for so many people. It is a chance to make new memories, immerse yourself in a different culture and expand your mind. However, being plus size means a lot of travel anxiety, in a world that is not automatically made accessible to us. Kirsty from Plus Size Travel Too runs amazing group getaways for plus size folks to travel and stay together, where they get to feel safe and have fewer anxieties about travelling as a plus size person. In April 2023 there will be a group trip to Bali, and although it is a pricey gift to give somebody, it is one that they would remember forever – even if you could just chip in for some of the funds to go away to this dream destination.
Hell Bunny
Finally, we have the brand that is at the top of every plus size goth girl’s Christmas list – Hell Bunny! Hell Bunny offers up to a size 6XL (or a size 26) in their range (but they have done collections with Yours Clothing up to a 32 in the past so finger’s crossed for more!) and although traditionally the looks might be a bit more alternative, there is plenty of rainbow joy available in their store to keep every plus size queen in your life happy. The pieces are generally good quality, sometimes running a little bit small so keep that in mind if you’re buying for somebody at the top end of their size range.
