The era of plus size vloggers is here and let’s be real it’s a revolution and a movement and you very much need to be part of it! Youtube and vlogging is as competitive an industry as blogging now and with the competition full of tenacious straight sized, cis folks, you’ve got to give a hand to the babes that are managing their own when it comes to content.
Let me count the hours I have lost to the wonders of YouTube and the ultimate hours I could have spent being productive but simply could not really because why when you can sit and watch incredible fashion hauls, watch people’s incredible lives or hear their incredible stories and do you see where I am going with this?
People are incredible! The most incredible is the plus size vloggers that I follow and honestly, I think it’s weird it’s taken me this long to share a post about them because I think its equally as important that you are all aware of the amazing plus size babes on YouTube. As my partner likes to call it, vloggervision is ripe with amazing content and if you’re looking for inspiration or entertainment, these babes have got your back.
1. Nabela Noor – Now some of you might have heard of her by now, she’s just reached 1 million followers on Instagram and came to be known by her powerful video in which she used some beauty products to write out some of the hate that she receives for being a fat woman of colour on the internet and it not only did it go viral but it also helped highlight the fact that she an incredible beauty and fashion blogger with a heart of gold, a gorgeous husband and a spirit for family and community.
2. Cece Olisa – Another incredible woman of colour that I have been following for absolutely years. Beauty and fashion blogger and vlogger she also the co-founder of American convention Curvy Con. Can someone say, entrepreneur boss lady? She has a story close to my own heart as she also trained in theatre before moving into the corporate world and honestly with her advice, tips and hustle she is who I want to be when I grow up.
3. Gloria Shuri Henry – Well what can I say? Another incredible woman of colour who also happens to be a plus babe that is rocking the vlogger world; and also another woman I have following for years. I was part of the fandom that watched her incredible romance and journey with her now husband, as well as captivated by hilarious videos and personality. Watching her grow has been amazing and I love that she now also talking about beauty and fashion too!
4. Loey Bug – Now I can’t recall how I stumbled across her vlogs, but she’s another woman I have been following for years and I have to say when it comes to hauls, she might be the Queen of the plus size haul. Some of her tutorials are amazing too, and she does pretty regular story time check-ins which always make you feel part of the community.
5. Meghan Tonjes – If you’re looking for someone who is incredibly encouraging, hilarious and has an absolutely killer vocal, you need to check out Meghan. I mean not only is she stunning but she’s insanely talented. How?? Well, she is the perfect package and some of her covers will have you shook for days!
There are plenty of other incredible Plus Size Vloggers sharing their adventures but *deep inhale* I think I’m going to save that for a part 2 ladies and gentleman. There are just too many incredible people out there and I don’t want to give them to you all at once because let’s be real, you’ve got some binge-watching to do!
I love to find plus size vloggers but there’s definitely not enough plus size vloggers over 50! I also love Jess On the Plus Size … she’s not on YouTube but she does loads of stories on Instagram.
