The spending money was gifted by Hotels.com, but all views are my own.

On a recent festive day out around Manchester, we stumbled across some really lovely places. We really wanted to try new places so we filled up the car, had a Mcdonald’s breakfast so we were ready for the day and headed off. I hadn’t been to Manchester city centre in my wheelchair before so I was so pleasantly surprised at Manchester Spinningfields and just how flat it was! You really don’t realise just how bumpy roads are until you’re in a chair and feel like you’re off-roading. We definitely picked the best area to visit for our day out as it had so many different choices and Manchester is known for having restaurants and bars that nowhere else does. Sure there are still chains, but there are so many exclusives and independent places that it’s worth looking into serviced apartments Manchester so that you can stay longer and really explore the city. It really is an exciting place to visit. Here’s where we ended up…

The Ivy

As if anyone could walk past The Ivy Manchester and not wonder what the beautiful building covered in plants is? We couldn’t resist going in after seeing their beautiful Christmas display outside. Inside is more spectacular than you could possibly imagine. It’s across 3 floors and everything from the walls to the floors is Instagram worthy. We headed up to the rooftop bar. I ended up ordering a berry cocktail that came with one of my five a day, 2 raspberries (I love that joke.) It was as good as you’d expect from The Ivy! We were completely alone and yet still the barman put on a show for us with his cocktail making skills.

BLVD

This isn’t just a cocktail bar, this is super fancy! I absolutely loved the neon signs and of course, I had to do a photo with my favourite sign. The cocktails were absolutely amazing and again this is definitely a place I would go back to.

Crazy Pedros

Although the food wasn’t for me, Crazy Pedros has frozen margaritas and frozen cocktails are my absolute favourites. It was so strong that my friend could barely take a sip (designated driver).

Home Sweet Home

After attending an event there years ago, I knew that we had to get some cake and it did not disappoint at all! We were going to eat in but I didn’t like the look of their ramp, so we all picked from the huge cakes and headed off for some shopping. We ended up going quite far in the search of bath bombs (I needed to add to my stash) so we ended up going for a quick coffee before home.

Costa Coffee

I say quick but when the cup is this size, we ended up staying around for a while. Although we wanted to try an independent coffee shop, there wasn’t one on our route back to the car so good old Costa had to sort us out! We sneakily opened up our cake from Home Sweet Home and enjoyed our huge mugs, that took two hands to hold!

Where do you recommend in Manchester?
