‘Tis the season to be spooky, fa la la la la, la la la la’

The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack is on repeat, I’ve bought several multipack bags of fun-size Malteasers (because food is more fun when it’s mini, to paraphrase Uncle Bryn from Gavin & Stacey) and that means only one thing – the season of fun fashion is upon us. If you’re looking for Vintage Plus Size Halloween Fashion, I may have just what you’re looking for.

Hell Bunny

Hell Bunny is known for its fun prints, and the brand’s gone all out for Halloween. These are some of my favourites from this year’s collection:

This grey rose and insect dress is subtly spooky, because it’s a gothic floral dress at first glance, but when you look closer, it’s covered with butterflies, bugs and spiderwebs. It would look perfect with a pair of black heels and some chunky silver jewellery.

If you want something a bit more obvious, how about this spider cardigan? I’d wear it with a swingy black circle skirt and boots for a walk in the woods.

Lady V London

Lady V London has some cracking Halloween-inspired prints this year too. The Hepburn dress is one of my wardrobe staples, because its a classic shape that I can wear to the office with a cardigan and a string of pearls, or dress up with…well, a cardigan and string of pearls, but with added petticoat. As I’ve found a style I like, my work clothes are now pretty darn similar to my going out clothes.

The Halloween Hepburns come in spooky skulls, a bright pinky-purple number, or wasted unicorns a floral/unicorn skeleton combo on a black background. As a unicorn fan, I am delighted at the creepy makeover.

If the Lyra is more your thing, with its V-neck, short sleeves and swingy skirt, then you can get it in a fun, retro style ghosts and ghouls print. I especially like the ghosts’ smiley faces and the way they seem to be saying ‘Boo!’

Luxulite

No Halloween look is complete without accessories, and Luxulite always creates incredible themed jewellery.

This year is no exception.

I’ve just ordered myself one of these sweet confetti spiders (the only sort of arachnid I’m comfortable being around).

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I love a good brooch. This 1940s-inspired double bat brooch is just lovely. Look at the teeny one’s face. Look at it!

If spooky creatures aren’t your thing, I suggest the ghost collection, which contains a necklace and earrings (unfortunately the brooch is currently sold out).
