Have you ever dyed your hair bleach blonde? Or even attempted to get that gorgeous ash blonde that celebrities are rocking these days? Well I have and let me tell you it wasn’t easy. I bleached 4 times in a row, and used countless dyes/toners to find that after a few weeks of washing I was back to my brassy blonde. If there’s one thing I hate it’s brassy hair that wasn’t asked for. I didn’t invite it and I do not wish to showcase it if I’m going for the white blonde look. I tried touch of silver shampoo but this did very little for me. Another thing that really winds me up about bleaching hair is how damaged your hair is afterwards to get ‘that perfect look’.
When Lee Stafford offered for me to try out their bleach blonde range I figured I didn’t have much to lose. I’d used their hair growth products in the past and was pretty disappointed that I didn’t become Rapunzel overnight. I suppose I’m impatient. I was however, pleasantly surprised with this new range. After 3 or four goes my hair was already looking whiter and more vibrant. It states to only use once a week as a toning product but I’ve naughtily been using it twice. Sorry not sorry – don’t send the hair police.
On top of the product genuinely being pretty marvellous it smells absolutely amazing. So much so that I tweeted the brand to say ‘my hair smells like sunshine’. No joke, I was walking around sniffing it like some demented hair obsessed person.
They also offer a hair conditioning spray that is slowly but surely adding the moisture and strength back into my now over processed hair. I’ll be trying out their heat protector spray next as I’ve loved these products so much.
