As a small fat blogger myself, I have received some backlash in the past for associating myself with the Plus sized community. Surprisingly of all, this often comes from within the community, but it’s not often from bloggers. The facts are that I’m a size 16, which to many brands is plus size. I’m also 5 ft 10” and rather in proportion. There is a large privilege with being this size/shape in that most (not all) clothing brands stock my size. I am well aware of this privilege but pledge myself to the plus community because I adore their whole ethos. I love the body positive lessons I have learnt from being a part of this community and I have so much to be thankful for. If you haven’t heard about small fats or their privilege before then this post by Em is a great read to get you started. If you’d like further reading then head to Bustle’s article. You’ll probably be following a few small fats already and not have noticed, but here are 7 small fats you SHOULD be following!

The whole reason I started blogging is because I saw someone else a similar shape and size to me looking absolutely incredible in her size 18 body. She had no cares about showcasing her fabulosity and it gave me a confidence I hadn’t felt before. This blogger was Em, from Terrible Tumbles. She’s definitely one to follow as looks absolutely bangin’ in every single snap she posts.

This babe is one who has held my heart since I first clicked ‘follow’ about 3 years ago. If you’re wanting lingerie inspiration, cosy country walks, or gorgeous photos of dogs then she is your girl. Think of country style with sassy lingerie and you’ve got Charli!

Oh don’t mind me, I’m just lounging around feeling like a million bucks in this gorgeous wrap maxi dress by a new plus size brand Love4All ❤️✨ They’ll be launching their website v.soon, which I’m told will have all available styles modelled by people of 3 different body shapes and sizes (how awesome is that??), but in the meantime keep up to date with all the latest from them over at @love4allplus

All HAIL the Queen that is Zoe. I mean look at her hourglass figure. She’s stunning! Vintage style with a modern twist she really gives me ALL THE VIBES when I’m looking for new clothes. If you’re not following her I suggest you go nosey… now! You’ll love what you find.

The girl who taught me everything I know about posing in front of a camera, Chloe is a goddess. With an athleisure look meets swanky vibes, I’m all over Chloe’s wardrobe in every snap.

Without being TOTALLY out of place. I’d love to be included in this list. I couldn’t write this post without showing my own face, so here it is in all its glory. Size 16 and loving being part of this community.

Have you got any favourite small fats? Let me know in the comments below! If I’ve missed any fabulous ones out please let us know, it’s hard to include all of the wonderful bloggers out there.
