After what seems like the longest winter, it’s finally time for plus size spring fashion! I love springtime because it’s lighter and brighter but without the heat of summer or the freezing temperatures of winter. It does make for a very confused wardrobe though so I’m working with Very to show you some plus size spring fashion options. Starting with the most important part, plus size coats.

Plus Size Coats at Very

With so many brands to choose from there is such a huge collection of plus size coats at Very ranging all the way up to a size 36, which is so incredible to see. There is everything from trenches and padded coats, to gilet and lighter jackets. With Spring being so unpredictable I thought this oatmeal Vero Monda Curve coat would be the perfect pick. Vero Monda isn’t a brand I’ve come across before so I wasn’t sure on sizing but I was really surprised to see that the size 24 coat was quite oversized. Usually with coats I’ve always sized up but there is definitely no need to with this one.

It’s a lovely colour for spring as it really lightens up your outfits but it’s still quite thick and warm, meaning that when the weather turns you won’t be left feeling the chill. It’s a double-breasted coat with darker button details. I’d definitely stick to your size if you’re wanting to wear layers underneath, but if you’re like me and tend to only wear one layer then you could possibly size down.

The second coat I picked out is the River Island Plus Belted Robe Coat in beige. Again I thought the lighter colours would be so perfect for spring but it still had the thickness for the colder days. This is also a 24 and definitely comes up big, which again is amazing as it means more people will fit into their range! Both coats are currently in the sale at Very and down to incredible good prices (that keep changing so I won’t confuse you by putting the current price.) Very is always a place to look for a great sale.

Whether you’re looking for plus size tops or plus size black dresses Very has something for everyone. I’m definitely a dress girl, I don’t think I own many tops at all. I just find dresses so comfortable and easy to wear, maxi dresses especially even though they’re so annoying when I’m out in my wheelchair. I just can’t give them up though which is why 2/3 of the dresses I picked out from Very are maxi dresses. Starting off with this lovely leopard print wrap dress from Yours, it’s a shirred material which I absolutely love wearing and feels so comfortable on. This is a size 22-24 and a lovely fit.

The second dress is also from Yours and it’s the Abstract Printed Wrap Maxi Dress. Both dresses didn’t wow me online but they did in person. This would definitely look better with my favourite harness bra but I was trying on the viral back smoothing bra that’s all over Tiktok and it does give quite a bit of projection in the bust area and this sweetheart neckline is perfect for it. Both are such easy to throw on dresses from going out shopping or to lunch, to just a spring day out. I’ll definitely be getting a lot of wear out of them!

Very is so handy for stocking so many brands so for my third dress I wanted to try out the new new Evans. Most of the new dresses at Evans are exactly this style, v-neck, midi length and like a soft bodycon. There’s not a lot of floaty material like with a maxi dress, it’s definitely more structured. I picked out the Jersey Half Placket Spot Dress and I thought it’d be perfect for someone who had an office job. It’s quite a formal looking dress, but I still had to undo a button just to be more me. Again this is a size 22-24 and a perfect fit.

I do pretty much wear the same styles all year round but in Spring I do try for ligher colours, more prints and ditch the leggings if it’s warm enough! Even lighter colours with my bags too, which is why for styling I picked up this beautiful Katie Loxton camera bag and doesn’t it go so well? I also couldn’t resist a little bit of bling with this gorgeous Sekonda bracelet watch. I love a delicate watch on women and this one is so stunning!
