The Perfect Plus Size Winter Coats
The cold snap is finally here! With threats of snow already starting in early November it really feels like Autumn is fastly slipping away and Winter is coming up behind it fast. With that in mind I sorted out my coats to decide which new styles I needed for this cold weather. People would probably answer that question with none, however they are not me and my little coat/jacket obsessed self, so of course I answered with ‘every fashionable style that’s around’. Here are my picks for some fabulous coats no matter what style you may be after!
Duffle
You have to love a good duffle coat, it’s the perfect coat for a smart/casual vibe and has a hood-often with fur- to stop getting wet hair situations in the unpredictable weather.
Evans Red Duffle Coat £75
Bon Prix Duffle Coat £59.99
Faux Fur
I love faux fur, I’m still not convinced about wrapping myself in it in a coat form, but the snuggle and touch-ability factors are bonuses to this type of coat. Plus these ones caught my eye so much I couldn’t not include them.
Bon Prix Faux Fur Coat £79.99

Junarose at ASOS Faux Fur Coat £85
Alice and You at ASOS Faux Fur Yeti Coat £68
Trench
I’ve always loved a trench coat style but find the more mac style trenches to look a bit Inspector Gadget- and that isn’t Chic- so a more thicker material avoids that and keeps you warmer too!
La Redoute – Castaluna 40% Wool Trench Style Coat £129
Asos Curve Wool Blend Midi Coat £85
ASOS Curve Wool Trench Coat £110
Camel
If you don’t own a camel long coat, then go ask yourself why not and go buy one. It’s the coat of the season hands down.
River Island Plus Double Collar Robe Coat £85
Elvi Boyfriend Coat £109
Karin Paul at Navabi Felt Wool Blend Coat £169.99
Parka
Gone are the days of this being the coat no one wanted to wear at school, and here is another versatile casual coat, also the more fur trim the better this season. If you manage to get a hood with faux fur so deep you can’t see your face then you have won at Parka Style.
Alice and You at Asos Premium Camo Parka with Fur Lining £92
Simply Be Cotton Parka £59
So Fabulous at Very Metallic Faux Fur Trim Parka £53
Padded Bomber
I still can’t let bombers go. Most of them aren’t very warm for full on outdoor pursuits, but for a nip to the shops then they are perfect as they won’t let you overheat like some coats can when you go into a shop for ages on end, so they still deserved a mention in my books. I’ve also found quite a few padded ones to hopefully still keep you cosy.
River Island Padded Bomber £58
ASOS Curve Padded Bomber Jacket with faux fur hood £65
New Look Curves Padded Bomber £39.99
I hope this has given you some inspiration if you’re in the market for a new coat, or just enabled you if you aren’t!
