- Summer Survival Guide – Beauty Edition - July 22, 2017
I guess you could say that these are my go-to Summer Beauty Essentials right now, I literally couldn’t live without these throughout Summer. Dramatic I know, but that’s just how I feel about these products.
Dry Shampoo
First up is obviously Dry Shampoo, Batiste “Sweetie” and “Tropical” and also Colab “Paradise” are my faves right now, they all smell lovely and perfect for Summer. During the Summer I usually have my hair either scraped up in a messy bun on top of my head or in a half up, half down hairstyle with a little bun on top. They are my kind of go to Summer hairstyles, which I know I can’t really pull off but never mind. The trouble is, like many other people, Summer does not agree with my hair. It gets greasy so much quicker so I rely on dry shampoo to just give my hair a little more life. I also like using dry shampoo to add quick volume to my roots too.
LUSH Silky Underwear
If you’re plus sized and/or have big boobs you may have already heard the hype over LUSH Silky Underwear Dusting Powder, if not… then you need it in your life right now! It smells floral but it’s very subtle and not overpowering at all. It’s basically a lifesaver. It’s literally one of all time favourite beauty products because no more chub rub or boob sweat yay! (you know what I’m talking about lol). Plus it’s so cheap at £5.95 and it lasts such a long time.

Sunscreen
This is another pretty obvious one, everyone should have sunscreen at hand especially in the Summer. I’m loving the Malibu 50 SPF Lotion Spray one right now and I love how it’s really easy to put on, it doesn’t really have a strong scent like a lot of sun lotions do and it also absorbs into my skin really nicely and doesn’t feel greasy or oily.
I Heart Makeup Fixing Spray
I’ve tried so many fixing sprays and they just never really seem to work for me. But as soon as the weather turned insanely hot a few weeks ago and realised my makeup was basically melting off my face, I added this I Heart Makeup fixing spray to my shopping basket online at Superdrug and I’m so impressed. I’ll admit, it doesn’t smell great but it’s not the worst smell in the world… if that makes sense? But it works so well! I have combination/oily skin so if it works for me and my troublesome skin then it’ll without a doubt work for you too!
Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel
When the hot weather is about, I find I break out more frequently because obviously, the heat opens pores and sweat, make-up and daily dirt/pollution in the air gets into my pores and results in some pretty bad breakouts at times. I picked up the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel about a month ago and I’ve found it’s really helping my skin and if I do breakout they don’t seem to be as bad they usually are. I use it about two or three times a week after I’ve cleansed my face before going to bed and then I rinse it off first thing in the morning as the instructions state to do. Really recommend it if you have oily/combination skin.
So that’s my top 5 Beauty Products for the Summer.
