Name? Daisy Jean Hollands. I love my name, because I chose it myself. (All except my surname which was actually my maiden name)
51 in actual years, but mentally forever fifteen and a half.
Where do you live?
Telford. Centre of the known universe. Not. It’s not a terrible place to live, but nor is it brilliant. I lived here from age 7 to about age…27 ? Then I had just about 15 years in various parts of London, which was an exciting time in my life and where I truly learned to love the skin I’m in. I’ve been back in Telford ten and a half years and as I say, it’s an average sort of place.
What do you do for a living? I am an Office Manager in a university. I mainly love my job, mostly because I work with some amazing people. It’s an agricultural university, so we’re sort of in the countryside, about seven miles from home and the campus is very, very pretty. I’ve worked there four years now – I’ve had good days and bad ones, but on the whole, I like it. I am training to be a life coach in my spare time, with the main focus being on body image and self acceptance.
How long have you been blogging?
I recently had my two year blogiversary, which was a bit scary – I thought it was about a year. I don’t know where the time goes!
What made you start blogging? I became more involved in the plus size community and I felt like I had something to say. Whether that is anything anyone wants to hear or not is quite a different matter, but I needed to say it! I’ve got a blog and I will use it!
Who do you admire in the blogging world? Several of The She Might Be writers, Murder of Goths, all sorts really. I have very eclectic tastes in writing.
What’s your favourite post on your blog? I like different posts for different reasons, I’m going to go with this one which is the latest at the time of writing these answers. As it’s so recent I haven’t had time to get fed up with it yet!

What did you want to be when you grew up? What do you mean “did”?! If I grow up, I want to be a proper writer. Full time. Publishing deal, the whole works.
Do you have any pets? A gorgeous but very destructive Labrador called Milo. He’s three and thinks he’s just another member of the family.
What does She Might Be mean to you? It’s brought me closer to a whole bunch of amazing kickass women that I’m proud to call my friends. But more than that, knowing that there now is a truly safe space for plus size people online and not only that, but I helped to create it, is mind blowing and makes me very proud.
Anything exciting coming up we should look out for from you? No specific plans, I’m more of a fly by the seat of my (big sexy) pants kind of girl. If anything exciting does happen in 2017, She Might Be will be the first to know!
