My bedroom is my absolute favourite place in my home. It is my sanctuary. I selected every colour, and every piece of furniture, with ‘relaxation’ in mind. My goal was to have somewhere I could get away and hide when I was feeling anxious. I wanted somewhere I could enjoy when I was feeling happy. And, most importantly, I wanted somewhere ridiculously comfy! I spent months collecting the perfect wall art with perfect frames. Each soft and fluffy cushion was handpicked by me. Finally, I feel like I am finished – except for one thing. I can’t stop buying every set of cotton duvet covers that I see!

Good duvet covers lead to good sleep

I used to buy bedding anywhere that was cheap, but since I started exclusively shopping for 100% cotton duvet covers I have noticed a dramatic increase in the quality of my sleep. My favourite duvet covers are the ones that feel cool as you slide in to them, and cotton duvet covers achieve that every time. For gorgeous duvet covers you can shop from here at Yorkshire Linen store. To help achieve that ‘cool’ feeling, I decorate my bedroom with cool tones. My walls are a mint green, with white accessories and a mixture of greens and whites in my bedding. I also use white and pale pink bedding at times, because I really love how the pink and green go together, and I like to use grey in my bedding because its another cool toned colour. My mirror, bed, wardrobe and photo frames come in a variety of whites and creams. This adds to the overall calmness and coolness that I feel when I’m in my bedroom. And to ensure that my bedroom is ‘cool’ and not ‘cold’, I make sure I have a nice fluffy duvet with 100% cotton duvet covers to make sure I am cosy and comfortable. Here are a selection of some of my favourite cotton duvet covers!

Dunelm is always pretty great for bedding options, and I am loving the Emma Willis designs like this chevron design on the left. When I see these duvet covers I picture them with my white and green fluffy cushions plumped up nicely on them, and I immediately want to get in to my pyjamas and relax. Then again, lets be real: I always want to get into my pyjamas and relax.

You can’t go wrong with a quilted bedding set

This quilted style always looks so soft and luxurious to sink in to. I can’t get enough of these Blush and Cobalt sets from Wayfair and The Yorkshire Linen Co. I feel like my white furniture would really make both of these colours pop.

And finally, ASDA. ASDA used to be my favourite for bedding because their designs were fun and exciting, and always came with a dose of whimsy. However when you refine by ‘pure cotton’, your options become a lot more limited! Their cotton designs look less luxurious than other brands, but if you’re shopping for cotton duvet covers on a budget than you can definitely find some cute designs and style them up in your own way.
