January started with the Bethany Rutter‘s Plus+ Book Launch Party. Plus size babes from across the globe are featured in this incredible coffee table book. Haven’t seen it yet? Buy a copy here.
The Yours Clothing 2017 Awards were announced in 2018 and the winners were sent beautiful glass awards. Winners included our very own Georgina Grogan for Outstanding Achievement in The Plus Size Industry, as well as Chloe Pierre, Grace F Victory, Michelle Elman, Callie Thorpe and many more.
Yours Clothing #takethepledge to love yourself campaign was a huge hit with a life drawing, featuring bloggers Hollie from Pretty Big Butterflies, Kat Henry, and What Laura Loves.

Pretty much every plus blogger has posted photos in the Playful Promises x Gabi Fresh collection. Playful Promises continues to be incredible across their platforms, fighting off the trolls and continuing to post people of every shape, size, gender, ethnicity, and ability.
Sculptresse AW18 Lingerie Launch featured plus bloggers Charli Russon, Em Smyth, Lauren Dunge, and Georgina Horne, in a bold but natural campaign.
Stephanie Yeboah and Lottie L’amour talked about the pay gap between overweight workers and straight size workers with Linkedin, which was then featured in Insider!

It’s a little difficult to talk about Curve Fashion Festival without bringing the tone of this post down, but it did open up some great discussion of accessibility at events in the future, and about diversity at events too. Let’s hope in 2019, these issues have been addressed.

Last but certainly not least, at the very end of the year Topsy Curvy, a brand we all know and love, launched their own slogan tee range in up to a size 34! They’ve always talked about being inclusive and this really shows that they mean it!
