Gone are the days of plus size and fuller cup lingerie being a static market. With an ever growing number of retailers and an increasing demand for beautiful and functional under garments, designers have been forced to up their game. This means that lingerie trends have trickled through to the fuller figured market and now, brands like Playful Promises, Scantilly, and Tutti Rouge are leading the way for lingerie trends and giving those of us with fuller figures an increasing variety of options.
This autumn we’re spoilt with a choice of dreamy florals, longline bras, & vibrant neons.
Granted, this does turn up pretty much every autumn but this year it comes with added lace and sheer panels to vamp it up a bit. Autumn/Winter dressing for me means heavy clothes in dark colours, which means heavy patterns can be worn without being too revealed!
Panache Jasmine in Rose Print, sizes 30 – 38, D – K
Elomi Aquila Shale Half Cup, sizes 34 – 46, D – H
Simply Be Maxine Purple Floral Print Balcony Bra, sizes 36 – 48, B – K
The longer line bra was, previously, something very rare in the fuller bust market but there are a wealth of options available this season. The longer line bra has just a hint of vintage styling with a real playful edge. They also create, or emphasise, an hourglass line. I often find I need to size up on the band on these bras to ensure I don’t create an extra fat roll with the longline.
Elomi Bijou Teal Longline Banded Bra, sizes 34 – 40, E – H
Freya Zentangle Grey Padded Longline Bra, sizes 28 – 38, C – H
Ann Summers Applique Longline Bra, sizes 32 – 44, A – H
These are bras that need to be seen. As vibrant and loud as possible, they’ll look great peeking out from beneath this seasons sheer mesh tops and, quite frankly, you won’t want to take them off!
Scantilly Peek-A-Boo Chartreuse Balcony Bra, sizes 30 – 38, DD – H
Pour Moi? Viva Underwired Bra Ultramarine, sizes 30 – 44, E – J
