We’ve all been there, had that struggle of what you get your mum, pal or work mate for their birthday. When you have people surrounding you that deserve recognition, you really do want to spoil them. Flowers, chocolates, and a card don’t seem to cut it. Plus, they can be very expensive! Here are some unusual gift ideas for a birthday that range in price and theme.
New Bedding
I know, genius right? What person doesn’t love new bedding? It’s like giving that person a massive hug and allowing them to have a fresh and comfortable night’s sleep. If you’re looking for brand recommendations then I AM LOVING the new Hotel Collection by Silent Night. They even have those lush pillows with stripes on you get when you stay in a swanky hotel. I’m all about bringing that vibe home and look! You can even get these on amazon at the not so expensive price of £16.99 a pair. It’s a luxury item for a fraction of the cost of what I’ve spent on flowers before, PLUS they’ll last a lot longer too.

Pimp up your Drink items
Have you seen those beautiful Hibiscus flowers you can buy in M&S? They’re perfect for a prosecco but what about those that like other beverages? Popaball have you covered. If you’re a gin lover then these add just that little bit extra to your drink. Plus they’re a heck of a lot cheaper than the flowers at only £3.99 a tub. I went for the Blueberry & Lemon flavour as my mamma loves a gin. It’ll be perfect to perk up her Saturday night sip whilst she puts her feet up to a bit of Downton Abbey.

Crafting Gift
Give the gift of an experience with the likes of a crafting item. You could pick up a Threaders’ Cute Companions Crochet Kit to allow the person you’re buying for to create something themselves. What I love about this idea is that you’re actually giving them hours of fun, not just a quick nibble on some chocolate that will only last 5 minutes (in my house anyway).

So there we have just three unusual gift ideas. Do you have any you could add?
